Daily Deviation, 2008-12-05

Daily DeviationTake a trip to the memory of yourself with the nostalgic Retrospect: 2009 calendar by ~fahrmboy. It tells us that "abandoned places are neither alive, nor dead, but somewhere in between. It is the conflicting human desire to both remember and to forget which keeps them frozen in time, both in memory and in reality. There is a subconscious feeling that abandonments are home to trapped spirits that haunt us, but I think it's the other way around. It's these places in which we lived and in where our past exists that are trapped within us, even as they crumble. To enter them is to enter the memories and inner demons of another person. It's only when we look back in retrospect that we understand these places and the stories they have to tell.". (Featured by ^Helewidis)

I think I'll go with the beefcake Mormon calendar instead.

heh, I forgot for a minute that you posted this one too. I like your calendar! But I also like some of the pics in the other one a lot. So I made my conclusion that I really enjoy both. Great job at picking out the pictures :D

Remember your darkest hour only lasts sixty minutes. You will make it through, just don't give up, nor give in.

Love the cover image! Was it shot through a doorway, or is the right-half a seperate image? Either way, nice work

Stunning :) The rich colours and textures are just wonderful. June came as somewhat of a surprise due to the lovely bright turquoise colours...

A very pretty calendar indeed

This is truly amazing. I love the wide variety of places you chose and the very poignant excerpt on the back cover. I would love to display this on my wall with pride.
