For some reason when i see this and read the poem, I imagine the top half of the image with a subtle grey-antiqueish gradient, as if the darkness looming from above, like a hanging threat of failure of making it out of the woods. Indeed, miles to go...

the body posture looks strong and determined, wich is a bit different from the tired but driven image I usualy get from the poem, but it works. Like he's too busy to be distracted.
