I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
I feel my fate in what I cannot fear.
I learn by going where I have to go.

We think by feeling. What is there to know?
I hear my being dance from ear to ear.
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.

Of those so close beside me, which are you?
God bless the Ground! I shall walk softly there,
And learn by going where I have to go.

Light takes the Tree; but who can tell us how?
The lowly worm climbs up a winding stair;
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.

Great Nature has another thing to do
To you and me, so take the lively air,
And, lovely, learn by going where to go.

This shaking keeps me steady. I should know.
What falls away is always. And is near.
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
I learn by going where I have to go.

I still have that dragonfly picture you sent me with the first part of this on the back. It's in storage now along with everything else of mine while I move, but it previously was on the bedroom wall and it'll be going on another wall when I find somewhere else to live. :)

Yep. And to make your ego feel even more inflated, Stand Your Ground has been our official desktop background image on all of our work machines for the last 3 years or so. (I went hunting for it, but it's not in your gallery any more; rolling grassy hills, blue sky with clouds, a small leafless tree on the lower-right corner. Looks similar to the default Windows XP background. Text at the bottom says "Stand Your Ground. If you do not, who will? 2005". Hopefully you know which one I'm talking about)

Yeah, I do. One of the first images I was proud of. I remember people saying it reminded them of "bliss," too.

I'm surprised to hear it's been on your desktop for so long. You can do much better. ;P

I was looking for something that was very similar in style to Bliss so that certain non-tech-friendly employees wouldn't be shocked by the change (one of them has trouble double-clicking u.u; ), but different enough so I didn't have to look at the same image any more. It's very fitting in both of those respects, and I've not had any requests from anyone to change it.

Besides, why change from perfection? ;P
